Respected All,
It is a matter of great pride for all of us that our organization ASHA-LATA has completed fifteen years of service to all categories of differently able children for their education, development and rehabilitation, thus empowering them to be a part of our society. Significantly we have been able to do this without any financial help either from Govt. or any other funding agency. It is the people who have supported us and we are thankful to all of them.
We feel delighted to inform you that our students have exhibited their best ever performance in all the field of activities during these years. They have not only excelled in studies and passed with flying colors, but have also shown their might in all the fields of activities like sports, painting, music and rehabilitation.
In the field of economic rehabilitation, 71 of our students are working in different areas, out of which 8 are in Govt. jobs (including 4 in Indian Railways). Talking of social rehabilitation, 32 of our students got married in which 28 spouses are normal. It reflects a great change in the attitude of our society.
We are proud to mention here that our organization also takes care of their health problems regularly. Four of our students have become completely normal through corrective surgery.
In our endeavor of making society disabled friendly and giving these unprivileged children their rightful place in the society, Bokaro Steel Plant has throughout patronized our efforts by providing infra-structures and financial help and has been a constant source of support and inspiration for the organization.
Many social organization and individuals have also shown their willingness to suitably help in this mission.
We have good infra-structural facilities provided by Bokaro Steel Plant and it has enough potential for expansion. Presently, we are having 5 acres of land with boundary wall, a school building, a multipurpose hall, computer centre, rehabilitation centre and a library.
I wish to thank all the individuals and organization that has helped us and supported us to run this organization. I would like to thank Insoltech and Zeantech.com, for designing and developing the new website www.ashalatabokaro.com of ASHA-LATA.
Encouraged by the continuous support received from all of you, we aim to establish an Intermediate School and University for the differently able. Though initially it looks difficult, the Management of ASHA-LATA is confident that it can be achieved with your support and blessings.
As in the past, we hope to get continuous support from all of you in bringing the differently able children to the main stream of society.
